The topping-out ceremony for four apartment buildings on Staudenplatz in Rintheimer Feld in Karlsruhe-Rintheim took place on 11 June. weisenburger bau GmbH celebrated this milestone together with Volkswohnung as the client.
The new buildings comprise a total of 106 modern rental flats as well as commercial space on the ground floor with a shared underground car park and lifts. Particular attention is being paid to the creation of affordable housing, with more than 60 per cent of the flats being publicly subsidised. The flats offer a balanced mix of spacious four-room flats and smaller barrier-free units to meet the different needs of future residents.
To promote sustainable mobility, 260 bicycle parking spaces including a bicycle repair shop and a car-sharing scheme are planned. The buildings will be constructed as BEG Efficiency House 55 to fulfil high energy standards. Photovoltaic systems will also be installed on the roofs.
