weisenburger Group expanded its pipeline by the end of 2023 to include a property of around 18,000 m² in the Senzig district. This property is part of a comprehensive neighbourhood development project that will include a total of 220 residential units, care and medical facilities as well as health-promoting services and retail outlets. Around 85 terraced houses will be built on the acquired part of the site. The latest house types from the Group will be used, which are categorised as climate-friendly residential buildings (KfWG-Q) in accordance with the Sustainable Building Quality Seal (QNG). Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2025. This adds another property to weisenburger's pipeline at the end of the year, which is in line with the company's mission to be the driving force for affordable construction in Germany.
In the past few months, the company has already acquired properties with a total area of around 60,000 m² in this context. "Over the course of this year, we are aiming to acquire further properties in urban centres, with a focus on sites with building rights for terraced and semi-detached houses as well as affordable multi-storey residential buildings," announces Marc Hofferbert, Managing Director Transactions at weisenburger invest GmbH. The aim is to build up a portfolio of 2,000 units for the "affordable housing" product line in well-connected locations. This offers institutional investors the opportunity to invest in the residential asset class together with a vertically integrated platform. Investors benefit from attractive value-add returns in line with the highest environmental, social and governance criteria and from the company's 70 years of expertise.
